hello,
nice to meet you
I’m Nastassja — the one who creates order in the face of chaos. Otherwise known as the graphic designer and head creative behind New Helvetica, I’m also a well-seasoned (mostly sweet!) web designer and layout artist who loves to connect users to words through intentional design.
Funny story, I became a graphic designer by accident after pursuing a career in the arts. But it’s no coincidence that I’ve stuck around. During my time as an assistant curator in an art gallery, I worked with mentors and artists who encouraged a deep appreciation for different design aesthetics and mediums.
My background in art and history influences my unique approach to visual communication, and over the years, I’ve developed the skills to create designs that are functional, yet emotionally rich. But above all — designs that address the needs of my clients. I’ve been told that I’m the partner who just ‘gets’ them. Luuks!
Some of the projects I’ve had the fortune of working on include layout design for a leading tax journal and catalogues for Everard Read and Michaelis. I love the problem-solving aspect of each creative brief. Mindfulness and deadlines keep me grounded.
